‘For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us’ – Romans 8:18

Therefore, suffering for the will of God, provides an opportunity to get closer to God and can sometimes serve as a test of faith. You cannot wholeheartedly say or know that you aren’t a thief until you’ve been put in a position to steal and didn’t do it. Similarly, we won’t know we truly have faith until we are put in a situation that requires us to exercise it.
